2022 Thorle Spatburgunder
The estate's vintages are harvested from the younger surrounding vineyards of Saulheim, cultivated in limestone-loaded and loess-loam rich soils.
Grapes were very carefully selected for this wine for fragrance, acidity, and ripeness. This is a more extracted wine than traditional German Pinot Noir. It displays an especially exquisite character from two years and two months in traditional French oak barrels (225l) before being bottled and left unfiltered, providing a deep and complex texture.
Tasting Note: Immerse yourself in notes of sour cherry and forest berry, with layers of smooth tannins and a lingering finish that sets it apart from others. Delight in the alluring aromas of wild fruits and herbal mint, balanced with a bold minerality and perfect acidity.
