Portugal is renowned for its diverse regions and unique grape varieties. Most famous for its fortified "Port" wines, there is a whole world to discover if look a little harder.

The Douro Valley is famous for Port, a fortified wine with rich, sweet flavours of dark berries, chocolate, and spice, but also produces a huge variety of "table", unfortified wines that express perfume and elegance. Vinho Verde, is a light and refreshing white wine with zesty lime, green apple notes, and often a light spritz. The Alentejo region produces full-bodied red wines from grapes like Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira, characterised by dark fruit, licorice, and earthy flavours. The Dão region is known for Touriga Nacional, offering complex red wines with violet, blackberry, and herbal notes.
