2018 Lanzerac Bergpad Pinot Blanc
Bergpad is a Pinot Blanc sourced from a single block of the Jonkershoek Valley in Stellenbosch, so named after a nearby mountain trail ('bergpad' in Afrikaans) leading from the Coetzenburg sports grounds at the University of Stellenbosch to Lanzerac Wine Estate in Jonkershoek. This route has become a well-traversed spot for athletic and outdoorsy folks for many years.
Tasting Note: The olfactory experience of Lanzerac Bergpad Pinot Blanc offers predominant notes of quince, violets, lavender and pears, while creaminess and softness take effect in the mid-palate and persists during the protracted finish.
