A vibrant expression of Montalcino’s northern slopes, Cerbaia’s Rosso di Montalcino is a testament to the region’s mastery of Sangiovese. With a focus on freshness and elegance, it bridges tradition and modern winemaking.

The wine is crafted from 100% Sangiovese grapes, harvested from north-facing vineyards at 350 metres above sea level. Vinification takes place in 50-hectolitre steel vats, with a 15-day maceration at controlled temperatures. The wine is aged for four months in large Slavonian oak barrels and refined in the bottle for two months, delivering a harmonious balance of freshness and complexity.

Pairing Suggestions: Perfect with aged cheeses, slow-roasted pork, herbed lamb, or wild mushroom risotto. Its bright acidity also complements tomato-based pasta dishes beautifully.

Tasting Note: An intense ruby hue with aromas of violets, red fruits, and hints of eucalyptus and blackberry. The palate reveals fresh cherry and cassis, with fine-grained tannins, a mineral undertone, and lingering notes of leather and spice.
