Nestled in the heart of the Mâconnais region, the Domaine Cheveau crafts wines that are a pure expression of their terroir, and the 2023 Macon Solutré-Pouilly 'Sur le Mont' is no exception. This Chardonnay is a vivid representation of its birthplace on the Mont de Pouilly, where red clay and rocky soils create a wine bursting with energy and elegance.

This wine begins with hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes grown on vines planted between 1985 and 2011.

Fermentation is carried out with wild yeasts, and the wine undergoes a 12-month élevage with two-thirds in stainless steel to preserve freshness and one-third in 300-litre oak barrels for added texture and complexity. The result is a wine that seamlessly balances vibrant citrus brightness with a subtle, elegant depth.
