2013 Moorooduc Estate 'Museum Release' Pinot Gris
A wine that truly needs to be tasted to be believed. The Caviste team were blown away by this ten-year-old Pinot Gris at the start of the year when we encountered a rather stray bottle sent over by Kate McIntyre the producer. So we were delighted that the vineyard still had 120 bottles that they could ship across.
Matured in old oak for around 10 months giving both texture and spice to this crisp, dry but luscious wine.
A rare and wonderful "Museum Release" from our favourites down on the Mornington Peninsula.
Tasting Note: 10 years old with plenty of years left. A phenomenal that showcases Pinot Gris at its very best. Developed and so complex from its additional time in bottle. Spices, white pepper, a slight floral tint, layers of stone fruit. Quite extraordinary.
