The Boekenhoutskloof Syrah has bags of spice, plum fruit, dark berries, black pepper and dark chocolate. Velvety smooth on the palate thanks to 18 months oak aging, this just begs for grilled red meats.14%
Boekenhoutskloof are responsible for some of the most iconic wines to come out of South Africa thanks to winemaker Marc Kent’s desire to push the boundaries of wine making. The farmstead was established in 1776 but in 1993 was converted into a vineyard and winery. The name means ‘ravine of the Boekenhout’, Boekenhout being the indigenous Cape Beech tree prized for furniture making.
