Husband and wife team Anne and Hervé have been running this estate since 1990 and for many years they have been ploughing by horse and following the lunar calendar. You may be a believer, or you may not be, but what is undeniable is the sheer charm, concentration and sweetness of their wines. Both wines have been matured in 30% new oak though this is completely undetectable. The wines have absorbed this completely yet remain pure beautiful Pinot. Les Bussières was planted in 1959 below Les Sentiers and just beside Bonnes Mares. My notes for the Morey Saint Denis read simply – ‘40 year old vines - very good indeed’
