2015 Finca Allende Rioja Tinto
The creative genius behind Finca Allende is Miguel Ángel de Gregorio, a visionary in the world of Rioja wine. The winery is located in Briones, situated on the picturesque banks of the Ebro river in Rioja Alta. The vineyards in this area are characterised by red clay and gravel, and face the northern direction for optimal grape growth.
Miguel's philosophy revolves around showcasing the unique qualities of each vineyard, rather than relying on barrel aging.
The principal cuvee is 100% Tempranillo aged gently for thirteen months.
Tasting Note: Bold and structured, rounded and smooth due to it's time in barrel followed by years in the bottle. Berries, spices, vanilla, a touch of graphite, leather, and plum. A wonderful tasting experience.
