This exquisite Sauternes comes from a quaint family estate. For 160 years, the talented women of the Leglise family have been crafting wines at Chateau Lamourette, with the current owner and visionary, Anne-Marie, at the helm. This limited production comes from a mere 10 hectares of vineyards, some of which are over 40 years old. Less than a kilometre from Château d’Yquem.

Château Lamourette Sauternes is a masterful blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, expertly crafted to perfection. The grapes are carefully selected and allowed to be affected by Botrytis, also known as Noble Rot, which imparts a unique and concentrated flavor. The harvest begins in mid-to-late September and takes place in several stages, ensuring each parcel has time for the Botrytis to fully develop. Fermentation occurs in small stainless steel vats, while ageing takes place in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels for optimal flavor.

Only the highest quality grapes are used to create this exquisite wine.

Tasting Note: Luxurious flavours of marmalade, dried mango, and apricots in this bold yet refreshing Sauternes. Beautifully balanced with notes of honeycomb, quince, and perfectly poised acidity.
