2016 Domaine Lafouge Meursault

2016 Domaine Lafouge Meursault

This Meursault cuvée from Lafouge is a nice blend of two lieux-dits: one with deeper soils named Moulin Landin, below Grands Charrons; the other named Le Clous, between Tillets and Vireuils, which is considerably stonier and higher-elevation. The resulting blend is very attractive, even in this challenging year, with a bouquet of noisette, pear, apple and a touch of fresh herbs. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and glossily textural, but underpinned by a racy core of acidity.
