This venerable family-run estate, a longstanding presence in the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, holds 10 hectares across Nuits-Saint-Georges (Village and Premier Cru) and Vosne-Romanée, having been passed down through four generations.

2016 presented a high degree of unpredictability in Burgundy, particularly in the North, due to the erratic climatic conditions that prevailed. This led to varied wines, some with excellent concentration, and others with a decidedly gentler character.

'Bousselots' retained a great deal of fruit concentration compared to neighbouring climat in the south of the appellation, produced wines with a great deal more power than one might have predicted. Early maturing, yet less in the way of tertiary notes making their presence felt. This in my view, renders the 2016 incredibly appealing.

Tasting Note: There's a wonderful generosity of black cherry and wild summer fruits. One to hold perhaps, but sumptuous right now.
