2018 Domaine Alain Chavy Puligny Montrachet 'Les Charmes'
For years Alain and his brother Jean-Louis made wine together at their parents’ estate, Gérard Chavy, but in 2003 they went their separate ways. Alain’s wines are very much in the mould of his father’s: pure, racy and delicate.
Tasting Note: Fabulously traditional - fermented in large French oak barrels. A dense, expressive and very floral wine, it has the angular purity typical of the best from the commune. It is completely at ease: harmonious, mouth-filling and with an appealing creamy edge to the satisfying finish.
