2018 Maison Joseph Drouhin Côte de Beaune Rouge (Magnum)
With 100 hectares, Domaine Joseph Drouhin is currently one of the largest estates in the region. It is spread across the entire Burgundy wine region: Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, and Mâconnais. The estate comprises mainly Grand Crus and Premier Crus, planted with the two iconic Burgundian grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
This particular wine comes from the vines of the Joseph Drouhin estate as well as from the younger vines of Clos des Mouches and other Premier Crus of Beaune that have been declassified.
Tasting Note: A true delight with great harmony! A beautiful purple colour. On the nose, delicate and fruity aromas such as strawberry and red currant. On the palate, the tannins are refined and lend a nice roundness to the body.
