

Bairrada is a small region between Oporto and Lisbon on the Atlantic coast that is home to the historic Baga grape, and the love of Dirk Niepoort. From 40 to 60 year old vines, hand picked and fermented in oak and concrete lagares. Aged in large oak barrels for 21 months. Dark berry fruit with spice and gentle tannins make this a super wine to partner hearty lentil dishes, pork, lamb and game. Medium to full bodied with immense complexity and interest.
