2018 Domaine Belleville 'Les Hâtes' Santenay
Domaine Belleville came into being at the beginning of the 20th century in the land surrounding Rully. Since its creation it is one of this appellation's better-known domaines. The village of Rully is steeped in history since many traces of Gallo-Roman remains have been found in the most well-known Climats, Cloux and Raboucé, which is the original site of the village.
In Old French, a "Hâtes" was an agricultural measurement that equated to 4.28 ares (one hundred square metres) in Burgundy.
Tasting Note: Fruity and elegant. Fresh red cherry, raspberry and crushed blackcurrant notes, with some light spices. Silky and round, with cherry, raspberry and light notes of plum, of toasted wood and of caramel. Long and persistent on the palate.
Alcohol: 13.0%
Blend: Pinot Noir
