The nuances of the Colli Orientali del Friuli are perfectly represented by the Martagona line. Each wine in the range expresses the variety of fragrances and aromas of the areas rich and diversified land.

Picolit is a very ancient grape variety which according to some sources was cultivated as far back as Roman times.

Tasting Note: Bright golden yellow wine, sometimes almost amber, after a few years of ageing. The aroma is intense, floral, fruity, incredibly complex, reminiscent of honeycomb. On the palate it is sweet-not-sweet, velvety, harmonious, full-bodied and powerful.

The various nuances of the Colli Orientali del Friuli are perfectly represented by the Martagona Moviert range.

These wines display a variety of fragrances and aromas, emblematic of the different terroir on which the vines grow. Martagona embodies all the nuances of the rich and diversified land around them.

The wines are named after 'Martagone', one of the most precious and acclaimed lily species. The name connects them to San Giuseppe, the patron saint of the church that sits atop the hill overlooking the winery. According to the Holy Scriptures, Joseph was chosen as a bridegroom, spotted amongst a crowd, because of the lily in his hand.
