Crisp, Minerally, Expressive Portugese White

The grapes for Redoma Branco are sourced from old vines on the right bank of the Douro River, situated at an altitude ranging between 400 and 600 meters. These vineyards are dominated by the varieties of Rabigato, Códega do Larinho, Viosinho, Donzelinho, and Gouveio. Their micascist soils produce wines with a high mineral content, delicate in nature, and remarkably fresh.

The 2018 vintage had a cool summer, delaying grape maturation by three weeks and experiencing a sudden rise in temperature. Despite the heat, the wine is low in alcohol content, complex, and minerally wines.

Tasting Note: A delicate profile with less expressiveness compared to previous years. Fresh hints of lime, ginger, and exotic fruit stand out. The subtle barrel aging adds harmony and complexity, resulting in a fresh and structured palate with a firm acidity. The finish is long, mineral, slightly saline, and elegantly balanced. While young and delicate, this wine will certainly age well in the bottle.

Seafood, roasted fish, poultry, and white meat. Great with a selection of roasted root vegetables (turnips, sweet potatoes, beetroots), Caesar salad,and a mixed cheese board.
