The grapes used for the Redoma Rosé stem from Quinta de Nápoles and other nearby vineyard sites. After meticulous sorting, the fruit was pressed gently before being left to settle for 48 hours at low temperatures. The juice fermented spontaneously in old wooden barrels where the wine also matured for approximately 5 years.

Tasting notes: On the nose, it opens with vibrant aromas of ripe cherry alongside subtler notes of rhubarb and a hint of tobacco leaf, giving it a distinctive earthy edge. As you take a sip, the wine reveals a smooth, creamy layer of vanilla bean, which balances beautifully with the refreshing acidity. The finish is pleasantly spicy, leaving a lingering warmth and complexity on the palate.

Pairing suggestions: Oysters, oven-baked fish, poultry and other white meats. Vegetarian pairings: dishes based on root vegetables (turnips, sweet potato and beetroot), Caesar salad, cheese.

Dirk Niepoort, part of the fifth generation, leads the family business, following the retirement of his father, Eduard Rudolph Niepoort. Since his studies in Switzerland, Dirk has been passionate about wine and has brought innovation to the traditional Niepoort brand.
