2019 Domaine Tourelles Marquis des Beys Red
From 20-25 year old vines grown at 1050m above sea-level on gravelly soil, with subsets of clay. Completely dry farmed. 100% hand-harvested with intensive selection in the vineyards. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats for 10 days. Malolactic fermentation begins spontaneously. The wine is blended then aged in French oak barrels (1/3 new, 1/3 first use, 1/3 second use) for 18 months. Alcoholic Strength: 14 % vol
Tasting Note: Dark purple in colour with cedar aromas, this is a powerful wine that will reward the patience of those who cellar it for 5 to 8 years. Decant and enjoy with braised lamb, Moroccan Merguez tagines or even a vegetarian lentil and smoky aubergine stew.

Blend: 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon
