2019 Teliani Wine People Shavkapito
100% Shavkapito, an indigenous Georgian grape variety, hand harvested in central Gori Region, Central Kartli. The wine is fermented on skins for 7-10 days, then a secondary malolactic fermentation takes place for 15 days. Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished skins are separated from the wine and it continues to mature in Qvevri for 6-8 additional months.
Tasting Note: Could be forgiven it's a Pinot/Sangiovese blend... Red berries, sour cherry, bold, and complex, A tantalising combination of layers.
