Across the estate’s 25 hectares—located within the Haut-Médoc and Saint-Estèphe AOC appellations—the vineyard is planted with noble grape varieties, split equally between 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines thrive across a variety of terroirs: clay-limestone soils, which are ideal for Merlot; clay-gravel soils, favoured by Cabernet Sauvignon; and finally, river-clay soils.
Situated between the mainland and the Gironde estuary, the vineyard boasts a rich diversity of terroir—a key asset that contributes to the complexity of the properties wines.

Tasting Note: Intense notes of fresh red berries. Lovely freshness on the palate, with finely integrated oak that adds even greater complexity

Chateau Croix du Trale

Château Croix du Trale is located in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, in the heart of the Haut-Médoc region, and offers wines from both the Haut-Médoc and Saint-Estèphe appellations.
Coming from a family of winemakers, Michel has been cultivating vines since he was very young. He passed on his passion to his son, Stéphane, who soon followed in his footsteps, purchasing his first vineyard plots at the age of 18. Together, they established an independent winery—Château Croix du Trale—starting out with 6 hectares of vines. In 2010, Sandra joined her husband in the venture.
