Château Angludet 2020 is a Margaux offering a superb balance of freshness and depth. Its lively fruit, polished tannins, and refined structure make it an excellent choice for both immediate enjoyment and extended cellaring.

The 2020 vintage faced frost, mildew pressure, and heat stress yet achieved remarkable balance through meticulous biodynamic management. Amphora maturation complements traditional barrel ageing, imparting finesse without overpowering oak. Wine lovers will appreciate its combination of power, grace, and terroir-driven character.

Winemaking: After an early vegetative cycle and careful hand-harvesting in September and October 2020, the grapes underwent alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled concrete vats (28–30 °C). Following malolactic fermentation, 70% of the cuvée matured for 12 months in oak (30% new) while 30% aged in amphorae to preserve aromatic purity. The final blend was bottled in February 2022.

Pairing Suggestions: Grilled ribeye steak with rosemary, coq au vin, beef Bourguignon, soft-ripened cheeses such as Camembert or Brie.

Tasting Note: Bright garnet with purple rim. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and savoury leather, with hints of tobacco and spice. On the palate it is full-bodied yet fresh, with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long finish showcasing dark fruit, mineral drive, and gentle toastiness.
