Cuvée Boz Blanc de Blancs 2020 is the ultimate English Chardonnay, born from a single Sussex “Grand Cru” site and named in tribute to Dermot’s late brother. Its pure expression of chalk-driven fruit offers both immediate pleasure and long-term cellaring potential.

Crafted only in outstanding years, this Blanc de Blancs captures the generosity of a warm, sun-filled season with crisp acidity and refined texture. Collectors prize its elegant balance and understated power, proof that English Chardonnay can rival the world’s best.

Winemaking: 100% Mount Harry Chardonnay was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation. After extended lees contact, it was bottled in July 2021 with 5g/L dosage and disgorged November 2024.

Pairing Suggestions: Perfect with Dover sole meunière or lemon garlic roast chicken. Vegetarian pairings include wild mushroom risotto or goat’s cheese galette with fresh herbs.

Tasting Note: Bright straw in the glass, it offers lifted aromas of white blossom, lime blossom and crushed chalk, followed by a taut palate of green apple, quince and a long, fine boned finish.

Dermot Sugrue’s journey from aspiring rock star to England’s most celebrated winemaker began in the unlikeliest of places: a monastic garden at Our Lady of England Priory. With a degree in Environmental Sciences and vintages in Bordeaux under his belt, Dermot planted his first vines there in 2008.
