2020 Domaine Belleville Rully 'La Perche' Blanc
"La Perche" calls to mind an ancient farming measurement, a hundredth of an acre, evoking the presence of nearby woodlands. The terroir here is a clay-limestone, found at the foot of the slope & composed of worthy clay. Carefully tilled to manage the plant's vigour, the vines are around 30 years old.
Aged for 12 months in barrel, 35% in first-fill.
Tasting Note: An opulent light gold, translucent and gleaming. Graces the nose with a fragrant and lively scent of white florals and citrus, accented by almond and mineral. On the palate, it reveals a clean and buoyant presence of lemon and tropical fruits, capped with a graceful, balanced and lingering finish.
