2021 AgriPunica Barrua
Officially from the I.G.T. of Isola dei Nuraghi, on Sardinia. It's crafted from native grapes and French varieties then vinified to reveal its purity of fruit flavour.
Richness and mouthfeel are typical of this wine, thanks to the malolactic fermentation it undergoes, followed by aging for 18 months in French oak barrels and a further 6 months in the bottle, prior to release.
Tasting Note: Dark fruit and wild herbs weave together in an intoxicating bouquet — ripe black cherry mingles with warming spice, myrtle, and a whisper of liquorice. On the palate, this elegant wine unfolds with quiet confidence: sage and pepper emerge alongside luscious red fruit, all guided by the hand of a skilled winemaker. The finish is long, seamless, and deeply satisfying.
