Negroamaro is considered the main native grape variety of Salento, with an excellent content of tannin sand flavor compounds that give intense but elegant, fruity and spicy wines. Negroamaro is also known by its high content in resveratrol, an antioxidant and anticancer substance present in other black grape varieties but found in relevant quantities only in Negroamaro.

The manual harvest takes place at dawn, with the help of cool temperatures and dry weather, ensuring optimal freshness and aroma preservation. Bunches are gathered in 5 kg baskets and promptly brought to the cellar. During vinification, the grapes are destemmed and fermented for 8-10 days, followed by a 12-15 day maceration on the skins, with frequent pump overs, and gentle pressing.

Aged for a total of 18 months in steel, oak barrels, and bottle, prior to release.

Tasting Note: Rich crimson hue with hints of garnet; bold and flavourful aroma, featuring notes of dark cherry, ripe blackcurrant, and succulent blueberry, complemented by a touch of black pepper and liquorice, rounded out by hints of vanilla and dark chocolate; full-bodied, with velvety and enduring tannins in perfect harmony with a refreshing acidity. The lingering finish boasts a luscious blend of black fruit and exotic spices.
