2021 Mas del Perie Les Acacias Malbec
The 2021 Mas del Perie Les Acacias Malbec is a fresh, modern take on Cahors’ signature grape. Deep and velvety, it combines inky dark fruit with elegant floral aromas, showcasing the purity and finesse of biodynamic winemaking.
This cuvée features 40-year-old Malbec vines planted at 350 metres. After hand-harvesting, fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, followed by 18 months of ageing in acacia barrels. The result is a wine of exceptional purity, avoiding heavy oak flavours while enhancing the natural brightness of the fruit.
Tasting Note: Aromas of violets, blackberries, and cherries lead to a smooth palate of ripe dark fruit, subtle spice, and a mineral freshness. A long, balanced finish.
