2021 Ridge Geyserville
First crafted in 1966, this zinfandel has held true to its hallmarks of quality and vineyard character for over half a century.
A temperate winter was followed by a moderate spring and summer, ripening the grapes evenly and providing plentiful fruit, graceful tannins, and a dynamic acidity. This exquisite wine will continue to develop over the next fourteen years, making it our.
Drawing from three adjoining vineyards all planted on the same soil type - deposited by an ancient Russian River washout of river stone and gravel - this expanse measures approximately one-and-a-quarter miles long and half a mile wide.
Tasting Note: Glistening with a ruby-garnet sheen, this entices the senses with aromas of dark plum, black cherry, baking spices, cola, wet gravel, toasted oak, violets and lavender. A voluminous sip reveals intense expression of dark fruit that lingers on the palate, while fine-grained tannins and balancing natural acidity add complexity and grace to its extended, succulent finish.
