2022 Jeanneret Temperance League Shiraz

"Yum, Yum! Delicious, Yum!" - Ben Jeanneret, Winemaker

Introducing the Jeanneret Temperance League Shiraz 2022, a wine that can only be described as "Yum, Yum! Delicious, Yum!"

This Shiraz hails from Schobers Vineyard in Auburn, Clare Valley, a single vineyard known for its exceptional quality and unique terroir. Nestled at an elevation of 390 metres, provides the perfect terroir, combining its specific microclimate, diurnal temperature range, and optimal seasonal rainfall.

The winemaking process for this vintage is a testament to Jeanneret’s commitment to quality. The grapes undergo fermentation at a precise temperature of 26.5°C, allowing the wine to develop its rich, complex character. The wine spends an extended period on skins and lees, followed by meticulous aging in oak barrels, which imparts subtle nuances and depth.

Tasting Note: Experience the exquisite depth and richness of this full-bodied wine, bursting with vibrant fruit flavours and subtle spice, seamlessly integrated with oak notes. Each sip offers a harmonious blend of intensity and refinement, transporting you to the sun-drenched vineyards of Clare Valley. A luxurious experience of proper South Australian Shiraz, with sumptuous complexity, punchy flavour, and vibrant character.

Jeanneret Wines

Jeanneret Wines celebrates the beauty of the Golden Ratio and the Nautilus symbol, echoing the philosophy of their ancestor, the legendary architect Le Corbusier (Charles Jeanneret). Just as Le Corbusier sought balance and perfection, Jeanneret's vineyards and winemaking process reflect this harmony of form and function.

Founded in 1992 by the Jeanneret family, their passion for wine quickly grew from a hobby to a thriving business. Led by self-taught winemaker Ben Jeanneret, they produce wines full of flavour, best enjoyed with friends. Ben's talent has earned Jeanneret a Five Star Winery rating and the title of 'Ten Dark Horses' by Halliday.

Jeanneret's vineyards, located in the Armagh Valley of Clare, are managed with an organic philosophy to preserve the vines' integrity. For over three decades, their 60 acres have yielded exceptional Shiraz, Cabernet, and Malbec. They also collaborate with local grape growers to add depth and sophistication to their wines, ensuring each vintage is unique.
