Paso d’Oro is the project of winemaker Laura Orozco, who grew up among the vineyards of Napa Valley. Her father emigrated from Mexico to California in the 1970s to work in the vineyards, and the name Paso d’Oro - ‘Way of Gold’ - pays tribute to that family journey and to the golden landscape of Paso Robles. Orozco draws on her Napa experience while focusing on wines that express the warmth and character of Paso Robles.

Tasting Note: Classic Paso Robles: generous, ripe and full of flavour, but with enough freshness and structure to keep it balanced. Expect aromas of blackcurrant, black raspberry and hibiscus, followed by layers of black cherry, cassis and dark chocolate, with vanilla, cinnamon and clove from six months in American oak. The palate is rich and plush, with supple yet well-structured tannins and a warming, spicy finish. The blend is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Petite Sirah for extra colour, body and depth.
