2022 Whispering Angel Rosé
The much admired Whispering Angel Rosé from Château d’Esclans in the Côtes de Provence is a complex and delicate blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle (Vermentino), Syrah, and Tibouren.
Softly-crushed and temperature-reduced grapes sourced from premier sites near the Esclans Valley and Cotes de Provence are sorted optically to ensure only the highest quality fruit is selected.
After crushing, the grapes are cooled to 7-8 degrees to preserve freshness. Closed-circuit pressing and minimal oxidation are employed to capture the essence of the free-run juice, which is then vinified in stainless-steel, temperature-controlled tanks, with battonage twice weekly.
Tasting Note: Its delicate hue entices and is attractive to the eye. The rewarding flavour is full-bodied and yet crisply dry and velvety. This distinctive wine captivates and brings joy to the palate. Raspberries, strawberries, a delicate spice; an absolute joy. One of the world's most iconic wines.
