Domaine Courtault-Michelet is situated in the village of Lignorelles, a few kilometres northwest of Chablis. The tiny village sits on the top of a plateau and most of the vineyards
face south or southwest, meaning the grapes ripen slightly earlier than the rest of the Chablis region.

From 60-year-old vines. Fermentation and ageing is done 90% in stainless steel tanks, and 10% in old oak barrels. The wines are aged on their fine lees until the following spring for
maximum structure and depth.

Tasting Note: Typical Chablis nose with minerality, ripe fruit, and a touch of bergamot. The body is supple, with crisp, fruity flavours. Round and generous, this wine is well structured with fine mineral notes and a delightful freshness.

Coutault Michelet

Nestled in the charming village of Lignorelles, just northwest of Chablis, lies the prestigious Domaine Courtault Michelet. Perched atop a sun-kissed plateau, the south- and southwest-facing vineyards offer an exceptional terroir which results in grapes that are often the first to ripen in the region.

The domaine, formed in 2019 through the union of Domaine Jean Claude Courtault and Domaine Stéphanie et Vincent Michelet, boasts an impressive 28 hectares of vineyards spanning the villages of Beine, Lignorelles, Villy, and Maligny.

Their Petit Chablis is a particular strength, with well positioned sites near the winery. Fermentation and ageing is done in stainless steel and the wines are aged on their fine lees until the following spring for maximum structure and depth.
