2024 Bott-Geyl Riesling Les Elements
Today, the Bott-Geyl estate comprises 18 hectares, including 6 Grands Crus, 3 Lieu-Dits and 1 historic Clos. The focus has been on organic and biodynamic winemaking since 2000.
Tasting Note: Vivid and electric, this wine crackles with zesty citrus — lemon zest, grapefruit, and a squeeze of lime — before a whisper of ripe peach and apricot softens the edges. The nose is delicately perfumed with white blossom, yet the palate is driven by a stony, saline minerality that lingers long into the finish.
Pairing Suggestion: A natural partner for fish — whether simply grilled or in a rich cream sauce — but for the adventurous, try it alongside Alsatian Choucroute de la Mer: a glorious tangle of sauerkraut, smoked fish, and shellfish that this wine was practically born to accompany.
