2024 Domaine Billard Pere et Fils Bourgogne Aligote
Domaine Billard has approximately 12.5 hectares of vineyards in different appellations throughout the Cotes de Beaune.
An iconic grape variety of Burgundy, Aligoté embodies the liveliness and elegant simplicity of the region's wines. Grown on typical clay-limestone soils—often on hillside slopes—it yields light, refreshing white wines that are perfect for convivial occasions.
Tasting Note: This Aligoté displays a golden-white hue with pronounced green highlights. Its fresh, clean aromas are reminiscent of green apple, lemon, and a touch of acacia honey. On the palate, its liveliness and tangy character are beautifully balanced by a lovely suppleness. It leaves a pleasant, refined, and lingering aromatic finish.
Pairing Suggestion: It pairs well with rustic charcuterie, fried fish, andouillettes, seafood platters, or salty or aged cheeses (such as goat cheese).
