2024 Ormanni Chianti Classico DOCG
Situated on the route between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti, close to the church of San Pietro a Cedda, the estate was owned in 1200 by the Florentine family Ormanni also quoted by Dante Alighieri in his Divine Comedy.
The Chianti Classico spent 14 days fermenting in concrete vats before being moved to used oak barrels to mature for a further 10 months.
Tasting Note: Deep ruby with violet hints. Intense aromas of Morello cherry, dried violet, and wild herbs. Balanced and elegant on the palate with supple tannins, lively acidity, and a long, fruit-driven finish.
Food Pairing: Cured meats, pasta with ragù, grilled and braised meats, Tuscan hard cheeses.
