2025 Apostolidi Malagouzia Palaiochori
The Palaiochori single vineyard was planted in 2007 at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level. The rich terra rossa (red soil) is ideal for the grape varieties there highlighting the special microclimate and terroir.
Hand-picking of the grapes, followed by meticulous selection at the winery, desteming, crushing and pressing. Settling of the juice followed by 100% spontaneous wild alcoholic fermentation. Six months ageing on the fine lees with frequent stirring before bottling – 85% in stainless steel tanks and 15% in amphora.
Tasting Note: Intense red peach, apricot and grapefruit notes. Bright and moreish white with abundance of lively acidity alongside delicate presence of jasmine, limon zest and light nutmeg notes, finely balanced and refreshing.
