2025 Domaine Giraudon Bourgogne Aligoté
Located in the village of Chitry-le-Fort, around 12 kilometres south-west of Chablis,
Domaine Giraudon farms vineyards on the same Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils
that extend into the neighbouring Chablis appellation.
The Bourgogne Aligoté is produced from 5 hectares of vines planted on Kimmeridgian
clay-limestone soils. The vineyards are hand-harvested and managed using controlled
soil cultivation, natural grass cover and short Guyot pruning, alongside the EcoPhyto
programme. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks
to preserve the character of the grape variety and the vintage.
Tasting Note: Pale lemon in colour, the nose shows fresh citrus aromas with delicate fruit notes. The palate is supple and fruit-driven, with bright acidity, pronounced lemon notes
and a distinct mineral character.
