Vincent Caillé is one of the few winegrowers from Nantes who produce « organic » Muscadet, a true priesthood due to the oceanic climate and the propensity of Melon to welcome mildew. In the cellar, he vinifies his wines in the traditional way with indigenous yeast and long aging on lees.

Tasting Note: A beautiful yellow-green colour, young and fruity Muscadet which develops aromas of citrus fruit, well-structured and good minerality. Rich texture from the extra lees ageing.

Domaine Le Fay d`Homme

Vincent has the brightness of eye and jaunty sweater we like in our winemakers. His passion is uncontained and the wines he produces show this, and indeed the level of complexity that the Gneiss and Gabbro soils of the region can produce. He uses lees ageing, large vessels, extended ageing in tank and barrel, and of course he is principally biodynamic. He is located in Monnieres in the heart of Sèvre et Maine and has amassed some of the finest vineyards in the region, by careful buying and selling, and now reckons he has the perfect combination of terroirs. In 2024, his daughters Emmanuelle and Clarisse joined the family firm, helping Vincent in the vineyard and cellar, adding much needed support to allow Vincent to focus on his beloved vines.
