New whisky from the young Annandale Distillery in Dumfries, resurrected in 2014 and one of the most interesting of the new Lowland Whisky distilleries.
This Founders Selection Single Cask 'Man O'Words' is an unpeated whisky, distilled in 2016, matured in a refill ex-Bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength in 2022.
Tasting Notes from the distillery:
Appearance - Light golden hue
Nose- Beautifully sweet notes on the nose of cream soda, pear drops, fresh green Granny Smith apple.
Palate- Wonderful burst of tropical fruits including mango, pineapple and cool fresh melon leads on to lingering notes of vanilla and creamy caramel.
