To celebrate English Wine week here at Caviste we have put together a little trio of our favourite Sparkling English wines.

1x 2018 Roebuck Classic Cuvee: Vintage bubbles only from this biodynamic powerhouse down in Sussex. A classic blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and chardonnay, this wine has alluring notes of baked apples with a toasty rich brioche leading with citrus notes on the palate shining through before a long and balanced finish.

1x NV Candover Brook Rose: Hampshire based on the bank of the chalk stream, this sparkling rose goes down a treat with some locally caught chalk stream trout. Blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and chardonnay, create a very English nose of fresh strawberry, cranberry and toasted brioche with a creamy mouthfeel and vibrant acidity, and a full fruity finish.

1x 2018 Hattingley Blanc de Blancs: Blanc de Blancs an elegant expression of Sparkling wine from Hampshire, one of the first wineries in Hampshire Hattingley have led the way since without looking back. 100% Chardonnay this nose if full of green apples and quince with a buttered brioche and citrus peel coming though on the palate, with a long dry finish.

Caviste

From its birth as a farm diversification project back in 2008, Hattingley has grown to become one of the leading wineries in the UK, based in rural Hampshire (just down the round from Caviste!).

The Robinson family made their initial steps in 2008 by planting the first vineyard on some of the farmland, but had no idea that it would lead to where it has, today.

Now, their site has a purpose-built, eco-friendly winery, that was constructed under the guidance of their Head Winemaker and Director, Emma Rice.

They are serious - and seriously good - winemakers, but they love to have a little fun , so expect the unexpected, embrace the unconventional, throw off the shackles of tradition and try the remarkable wines of Hattingley Valley.
