Release No.2, the second in the Icons of Campbeltown series is inspired by the marking depicting Saint Michael, the courageous Archangel, who heroically slayed a fire-breathing dragon with his spear.
To celebrate the mythical tale, Glen Scotia have released this unique medium peated 14 year old single malt whisky.The bold maritime salinity and smoky peat are beautifully balanced by the wonderful sweetness of candied red fruits, enriched after six months in the finest ex-Barolo red wine casks.
Non-Chill Filtered, Natural Colour, Cask Strength.
Tasting Note: Decadently smoky with hints of fiery red candied fruits and berries, the finish is long with a dry spicey end note. A subtle maritime salinity leaves no question which distillery this limited edition hails from.
