Up on the cool slopes of The Dolomites lie vineyards shrouded for much of the year in mist. But, during the growing season, while the grapes are ripening to perfection, they are bathed in the pure Alpine light.

This is typical of Alto Adige - one of Italy’s smallest and most prestigious regions - for creating white wines grown at altitude that deliver serious attitude.

The vineyards are located between 450-600m above sea level on a limestone and chalk porphyry soil. The growing season was marked by drought and reminiscent of the dry summers of 2003 and 2015. Grape ripening progressed rapidly and a dry autumn meant a smooth and early harvest.

The wine was fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks and ages for a few months on the fine yeast.

Tasting Note: Step through the Mists of Time to abandon the constraints of usual expectations. A delectable, fruity, mildly spiced, and tropical mouthful leading to a wine showing freshness, precision, and balance. The "stylistic intersection of Albarino, Gavi, Sancerre, and Chablis, this astounds and captivates in equal measure.
