2018 Rimauresq Cru Classe Rouge
In the heart of Provençale vineyards, Rimauresq excels in producing exquisite rosé wines, while also crafting exceptional reds.
Employing careful methods such as carbonic maceration and cold pre-ferment maceration, the winemakers strive for optimal extraction of flavours and tannins.
The red wines are fermented at precise temperatures and undergo daily plunging and racking to enhance the extraction of polyphenols and aromas. After fermentation, the wines age in French oak barrels for 10 to 14 months before a subtle filtering process.
Tasting Note: The nose is inviting with wonderful redcurrant, plum and blackberry aromas with hints of woody spice and pepper. The palate has more concentrated fruit: blackberry, redcurrant and tart blackcurrants with good structure and some smokiness from time spent in oak.
