Situated about an hour north of Lake Garda and just south of Bolzano, the family owned vineyards and winery of Tiefenbrunner are about as beautiful as one can imagine with the dramatic landscape of the Dolomites immediately to the north. The lower cropping of these older established Pinot Grigio vines give a dry wine with a sublime texture and gentle aromatics that suggest dried apricot and orange peel yet the wine is deliciously dry on the palate. Perfect with charcuterie and antipasti, or a lightly spiced chicken dish this is Pinot Grigio in its original heartland.
