The grapes are harvested with care, pressed immediately, and vinified in new barrels to preserve their pristine qualities. Each plot is handled separately, ensuring precision in blending. After fermentation, the wine rests on its lees until mid-December, gaining depth and texture before ageing in barrels for 12 months. This meticulous process results in a wine that’s both vibrant and refined.

Tasting Note: The 2019 vintage of Carmes de Rieussec is a captivating symphony of aromas and flavours, embodying the finesse of its noble heritage. On the nose, it reveals layers of rhubarb tart, dried apricots, and a refreshing hint of mint, evolving into deeper notes of dried figs and subtle toastiness. The palate is perfectly balanced, where a gentle acidity lifts its richness, delivering a harmonious blend of apricots, figs, and a whisper of minerality. A lingering finish of freshly struck match and smooth oak adds complexity to this delightful wine.
