NV Candover Brook Rose

£39.00

The NV Candover Brook Rosé is an exuberant English sparkling rosé, bursting with fresh strawberry and cranberry aromas, creamy brioche complexity and a vibrant, mouth-watering finish.

Whole-bunch pressing under dry ice extracts gentle colour and aromatic intensity. Fermented and matured on lees for a minimum of 36 months, the Rosé blends 2018 (54 % Chardonnay, 33 % Pinot Noir, 13 % Pinot Meunier) with 2019 (23 % Chardonnay, 60 % Pinot Noir, 17 % Pinot Meunier) vintages and reserve wine.

Candover Brook Rosé earned Gold (Best Regional English Sparkling Rosé, Wessex) at Wine GB 2023 and acclaim from The Vineyard Magazine for its pure fruit and silky texture.

Pairing Suggestions: Strawberry-and-cream scones, smoked salmon blinis or raspberry mille-feuille.

Tasting Note: Bright rose-gold with aromas of fresh strawberry, cranberry and toasted brioche; the palate is creamy yet lifted by vibrant acidity and pure, bold fruit.

Candover Brook

Candover Brook is the crown jewel of the Preston Farm estate in Hampshire’s Candover Valley, where regenerative farming and viticulture unite. Founded by Lord Sainsbury and nurtured by his sons Mark and Julian, the five-hectare, south-facing vineyard thrives on chalky subsoil and silty clay loam, at 115–135 m above sea level. Every vine is estate-grown, every grape hand-harvested, and sheep graze the inter-row cover crops to enrich soil biology—an approach that has earned the estate Countryside Stewardship’s highest tier and LEAF certification.

Under the stewardship of Craig Livingstone (Farmers’ Weekly Farmer of the Year 2018) the team champions biodiversity, carbon neutrality and community engagement. With 42 months minimum lees ageing on the Brut and a philosophy of “quality over quantity,” Candover Brook is an exciting new name on the English Wine Scene Awards and a model of sustainability-driven winemaking.
