The grapes for Maridà are hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 26–28 °C for 8–10 days, followed by extended ageing in the family cellar. This regimen imparts elegant toasted and spicy notes while preserving Barbera’s hallmark vibrancy and silky texture.

Maridà stands out as the Povero family’s first international blend, an homage to “the elegant maiden” of local lore. Its intense ruby colour and generous bouquet of rose, red fruits, incense, spice and liquorice lead to a dry, warm and full palate, underscored by coffee and chocolate nuances. Harmonious tannins and balanced acidity make it both immediately engaging and ageworthy.
