1983 Chateau Coutet Barsac (37.5cl)
The 1983 Sauternes vintage is a true gem, developing the perfect sweetness and complex flavours.
Over 40 years old, this wine shows an incredible aging potential, that only gets better with time.
In keeping with the great tradition of the Sauternes and Barsac appellations, the Château Coutet vineyard is planted with Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle grapes.
Each precious batch goes through the press, a decisive step for extraction, and is then barrelled for the next step: fermentation. The barrels are laid down the length of the barrel hall, then comes the long period during which the wine matures. When the time comes for blending, old cellar-masters return to the estate, sharing and passing on their memories of taste, time and place to the current team.
Origin: Bordeaux, France
Blend: Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle
