2000 Chateau Tirecul La Graviere Monbazillac
A "Dante-esque" according to Château Tirecul La Gravière.
The rain took almost everything. Only two select picks from 26th October to 18th November with more than 20% of loss - which was nothing compared to other growers.
It was so bad that their wine "La Cuvee Madame" was not made in this vintage.
The team's extraordinary efforts, in spite of the conditions, have yielded an incredible wine.
Tasting Note: A symphony of aromas with a luxurious and rich structure, offering an exquisite indulgence. It has been described by sommeliers as "magisterial", with delicate notes and carefully selected botrytis akin to d'Yquem. Its breadth and complexity make it a truly grand and refined wine.
